Michael is Chief Technology Officer working in the field of industrial protein fermentation. He invented the core, directed fermentation process for Es BioSolutions. He has held senior research and professorial positions in various academic, governmental and corporate organizations, including NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, the University of California-Irvine, and over 15 years as a head of research at the Institute of Chemical Physics, Moscow. His area of expertise is in biophysical chemistry, surface and membrane science. He authored over 120 peer-reviewed research papers, monographs, textbooks; and holds patents in the fields of agricultural chemistry, bioactive compounds and surfactants. Michael holds an MS degree in chemistry from the Moscow University, and PhD and DSc from the Russian Academy of Sciences.

John W. (Jack) Baldridge,  Executive Chairman

Jack is key contributor to the technology at Es BioSolutions and a seasoned international business executive. He has experience in several business sectors, including: pharmaceuticals, medical devices, food, consumer goods, industrial biotechnology, biopolymers and environmental science. He has been awarded patents in biofilm control, protein fermentation and surface energy chemistry. Jack has held senior domestic and international management positions at Mead Johnson International, Bristol Myers International, Red Star Yeast and Universal Foods Corporation. He negotiated and closed more than 150 product licenses, joint ventures, subsidiaries and distribution agreements with major international corporations in the U.S., and in more than 60 countries in Europe, Asia and Latin America. He was a founder of 5 start-up companies that became NASDAQ publicly traded firms and CEO or a Senior Officer of three of these firms. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy and U.S. Army. Jack has a Bachelor of Science from Marquette University and a Master’s in Business Administration from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.

Dr. Dean M. Toriumi, MD

Dean is a Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Toriumi received his medical degree at RUSH University Medical School in 1983 and completed his residency training in otolaryngology at Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago in 1988. Dr. Toriumi then completed two fellowships in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Toriumi took a full time academic position in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) in July of 1989. Since joining UIC, Dr. Toriumi has been in many leadership positions including the Secretary and President of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He also served three terms as a Director on the American Board of Otolaryngology. Dr. Toriumi has published many research studies in the areas of wound healing, facial reconstruction, biomaterials research, bone metabolism and aesthetic and reconstructive rhinoplasty. Dr. Toriumi has published over 170 medical papers, over 80 book chapters and five textbooks. Dr. Toriumi has also given over 700 presentations at medical meetings all over the world. Dr. Toriumi is on the editorial boards of several prestigious medical journals including; Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Aesthetic Surgery Journal, JAMA Facial Plastic Surgery and Laryngoscope. Dr. Toriumi practices facial plastic surgery and skin cancer reconstruction, specializing in aesthetic and reconstructive rhinoplasty.
